Graduated from Incarnate Word in 1972 with and BS in Home Economics.
Graduated from A & I Kingsville in 1987 with an MS in School Administration.
I taught Home Economics Cooperative Education and Hospitality Services at Harlandale High School for 31 years. After I retired in 2003 I taught a class called "Hands On Education" for handicapped adults at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. In 1995 my Grandfather's ranch was divided. Since then I have been improving my part. We high fenced and work on improving the deer herd.
I have three grandchildren, two girls and one boy. They live here so they visit often. I belong to many organizations, the San Antonio Conservation Society, HEAT (Hospitality Educators Association of Texas), Briscoe Museum, South Texas Farm and Ranch Club, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, and Kappa Kappa Iota Sorority. I volunteer for all of these organizations periodically.
